Mary Lou Green, age 84 of Wolf Point, died at her home in Wolf Point on Saturday, December 13, 2014. She was born February 5, 1930 in Wolf Point to her parents Louis Vincent Green and Alfrieda “Fritz” Hagen Green. Mary Lou was the second child in a family of ten children.
Mary Lou graduated from Wolf Point schools in 1949. She worked for Roosevelt County at the library and the Treasurer’s office. She worked at Ben Franklin for Jim Neutgens and also at AVCO at the Glasgow Air Force Base. Mary Lou was self-employed as an accomplished seamstress. She installed many zippers and enjoyed quilting.
Mary Lou was a lifetime member of the Immaculate Conception parish. She belonged to St. Catherine’s group of the Altar Society later known as the PCCW (Parish Council of Catholic Women).
Mary Lou had a special relationship and a friendship with Stacie Green, Mollie Headdress, Theodore Headdress, Emily and Vincent Nefzger, Troy Green of Culbertson, and R.J. Green of Missoula.
She is survived by her brothers: Tom and Michael (Kathy) both of Wolf Point, her sisters: Harriet (Julius) Friesen of Wolf Point, Joann (Louie) Jablonski of Wibaux, Rita (Larry) Lampton of Libby, her two foster brothers: John Courchene of Idaho and Matthew Courchene of Hawaii, and a special friend Patsy Jansen.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her sister Grace Ann, and her brothers Georgie, John, and Richard.
