On November 6, 2013 at 1140, Melda Deloris Fire Moon, age 57, of Glendive, MT, formerly of Frazer, MT, passed away at the Glendive Medical Center.
Melda was born to Lyle & Leta Fire Moon on May 5, 1956 at 03:33 am.She was the oldest daughter of eight siblings. At a young age of 9 months, she was diagnosed with spinal meningitis. She lived with the family until the age of 25, and at that time she became a resident of Eastern Montana Industries in Glendive, Montana until her passing.
Melda had an extended family at her residence in Glendive and had numerous special caregivers that shared in her life, Pam Junso, Rhonda Beach and Robin Heinrich were her angel guardians along with the rest of the staff that gave her exceptional family care.
Melda is preceeded in death by her parents Lyle and Leta Firemoon, her brothers Lyle Jr., and Vincent Reed.
Her siblings are Dawson (Paula) FireMoon, Velda (Michael) Stewart, Ingrid (Bruce) Fire Moon, Thomas (Marva) FireMoon and Lyla (Bill) Law. Her Uncles Robert FourStar and Kenneth Ryan and Aunts, Joan Blount and Julia Ferrar. Also her nieces and nephews Stacy, Mary, Marly, Tiffany, Mikey, Marcus, Machelle, Keena-Li, Rika-James, Anisa, Reuban, Buddy, Sunny, Sirr, Justiss, Presley, Heather, Thomas and Heath.
Melda our beloved sister, rest in peace until we meet again.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 9 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery.
