Melvin Joseph Eagle Boy, “Wa’mbdi H’ota”, (Gray Eagle) was born into this world on October 28th, 1959 to Nelson and Carmelita Eagle Boy In Poplar Montana. He was then given his Indian name “Gray Eagle” by his Grand Father Mathew Eagle Boy. He attended Poplar Schools Kindergarten Through 12th grades. After graduation Melvin Attended various colleges receiving many certificates and degrees all in different areas but he always said his favorite and the one he got the most out of was Haskell Indian Nations University where he received his teaching degree. From Junior High to College Melvin loved playing in different Sports with Baseball being his favorite.
Melvin had many many passions, he loved to Read, and he read the Bible 3 times in his lifetime believing in it totally. He loved sports, and never missed a game on TV. He loved to travel and has been everywhere in the United States, He worked mostly in construction all his life and often traveled with the company he was with at the time. He had a green thumb and could grow anything or mend any plant and bring it back to life. He absolutely loved too fish! You could always find him at some river or place just enjoying his time with nature. His time with his family and his friends was the time he cherished most.
Melvin is survived by his Mother Carmelita Eagle Boy, His daughters Natasha (David) Roberts of Yakima Washington, Alyssa Eagle Boy and Tammi Eagle Boy (Raymond) both of Poplar Mt, his brother Terry (Georell) Eagle Boy of Poplar Mt. His Sister Dreamis Eagle Boy, His grand children Zoey, Joshua, Gabriel, Irie Roberts, Azrial Magnan and Cleo Eagle Boy, Xyler and a grandson on the way that he was excited to meet. Melvin was our childhood friend living just right across the road from us, we were like a little community within ourselves, now over the span of years there is very few left in the families that once lived off of Hwy 2.
