Pauline Azure-Feuvray says
Michael Duane Azure was born to Lazare Ezear John Azure and Emily Bruguier Azure on July 14, 1961 in Poplar, Montana. Monk as we affectionately called him was the 9th of 12 children. Monk in his early years learned construction from his dad. Monk loved to hunt and fish with his siblings and friends. Due to his disability later on in his life Monk was limited in his abilities to be active in his hunting and fishing adventures. Truly he was a great guy who helped people in their time of need. He will be missed by his siblings and friends. Rest in peace and fly with the angels in heaven.

We are shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Monk’s passing. Monk enjoyed rummage sales just as much as we did, so we would see each other every weekend during the rummage season. When we would meet he would up date us on his activities and his own health, we have had the privilege of knowing him since his youth, he will be deeply missed by us, Mary, Gwen, Greg, and Roxanne

Although he’s mom’s cousin–he will always be our “Uncle Monk.” I have many fond memories of my Uncle–he was always good to me. I can still hear his unique laughter and my heart aches at news of his passing. I remember one time when I was little and Uncle came to visit sporting bushy side-burns. He told me he was the wrestler “Andre the Giant” and I believed him–Uncle was always telling stories and making jokes. I love and will miss him!
Wanda Nichols says
My cousin Monk always brightened my life when he would show up at our house. He was more like a brother to me. We shared many fun adventures when he was around, I understood him well. I have many fond memories. One time that comes to mind is he wanted to go check out new cars so I took him to the dealership and he was talking with the salesman and he decides to go for a test drive with him. I did not see him again until late that evening, he and the salesmen came pulling in after dark. That was the longest test drive if ever seen. He and I just laughed about it for a couple of days. He was such a good Uncle to my kids they loved him dearly and always looked forward to his visits I will miss his phone calls. Rest in Peace in paradise with Jesus.

MY cousin/brother I love him and will miss him. When he would come to Columbia Falls he would go on my evening walks with me and we would talk about anything and everything. He was the first one to offer help and love to cook for my grandma & me. Macaroni soup was his favorite dish to make for us. Eternal rest grant unto him Lord and let YOUR perpetual light shine upon him. May you rest in peace cousin. Love you and will miss your stories.

Monk loved family and friends unconditionally. He will always be loved and missed. He was “the wind beneath our wings”.
Bertrand Feuvray says
The first time I met Monk was in August 1998, when Pauline and I went on my first trip to Wolf Point. When we got out of the car to go to Connie, Mike came with a friend to meet me. He was sitting on the passenger side and introduced himself to me. He was very friendly and HE GAVE ME $40.00/ I felt so welcome and so impressed by Wolf Point Native American hospitality.
In July 2000, we moved to Montana and had a chance of meeting with Monk again. When we bought our trailer, Mike moved with us and it was great to have him live with us for a while. He was always friendly and generous to me. We saw him more often during the time He lived in Billings and I have not seen him again since He moved back to Wolf Point. He missed going hunting and I think that the life of Wolf Point was better for Him. Personally, of all the places I have lived in in Montana, Wolf Point and Frazer come on top of the list as the best places I lived at on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. I liked the fact that we had people to visit like family, etc.
I was shocked to hear he passed away but as people say when someone has a bad health, people who go to the other side are in a better place. I believe in that.
