Phyllis (Babcock) Peters, 68, of Wolf Point, MT died late Monday, September 24th, after playing cards with her Bridge club.
There were many other activities Phyllis took pleasure in, such as quilting, bowling, lay leadership at First Presbyterian Church, and running Harry’s Nite Club, but her greatest joy came from helping others. Born in Vanport, Oregon, she married Richard “Dickie” Peters in 1960.
She is survived by a daughter, The Rev. Brenda Sol of Dallas, TX; son, Steven Peters and his wife Joan of Wolf Point; along with two granddaughters, Savannah Peters of Vermillion, SD, and Jocelyn Peters of Billings, MT.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Helen Steffy and Earl Babcock, Sr., and her brother, Earl Babcock, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at First Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 29 at 10am with interment at Greenwood Cemetery. A reception will follow at Harry’s Nite Club. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made in Phyllis’ name at: www.quiltsforkids.org, or to the charity of your choice.
Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Dick and family: One of the highlights of return visits to Wolf Point was stopping at Harry’s to say hello to Phyllis. Never missed the chance to do so. She was a special friend and I know will be missed by so many people. As you share, talk, and remember Phyllis, may you truly find that the one you love so much is still living in your hearts. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dick and Family:
I am so sorry to hear that Phyllis has gone to be with the Lord. It was always so special to see her upon return visits to Wolf Point, especially this past summer. Celebrating our 50 year class reunion was special because of the effort that she put into it. So friendly, kind and her hearty laugh was extra special. I will miss her as I know that you will also!
Sincerely, Arlene
