Our mom and grandma went to the spirit world on November 23, 2020 at the young age of 91 years old. She came into this world on October 19, 1929 the fourth child of Elmer and Mary Red Eagle. 55 of her 91 years were spent by the side of the love of her life, Ray Ogle Sr. Together they brought 9 children into this world.
She was raised in part by her uncle Lloyd and Aunt Jenny and Aunt Lucy. She grew up in Brockton and Fort Kipp and moved to Poplar after she got married. She spent her younger years raising her children and then decided to finish her education. She attended Rocky Mountain College where she received her degree. Her favorite job was working with the youth. She loved making starquilts to give away as gifts. When her grandchildren started coming, she raised some as her own; Myron, Robbie, Launa, Markie, and great grandchildren Kenny, Coy, Kayla, Wade, and Braydan. She also helped care for Everette Jone, Thelma Jones (deceased), and Eugenia Warclub (deceased). She enjoyed going to Pow-wows and watching her grandchildren dance. She liked to attend sundances to support her family in prayer. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and visiting her sister on the phone.
She is survived by 6 of her children, Raymond “Abby” Ogle, Elmer “Andy” Ogle, Maizie (Arnold) Youngbird, Mary (Gregory) Plante, Judy (Arnold) Ogle, and Shari Ogle, all of Poplar, Montana; adopted daughter Ronette RedBoy of Wolf Point, Montana; one sister, Gloria (Bob) Garcia of San Jose, California; one sister-in-law, Doreen (Babydoll) Red Eagle of Poplar, Montana; one special niece Pauline Boxer, who she took as a sister; grandchildren, Myron, Robbie, Leslie, Michael, Jason, Aaron, Louis, James, Lance, Daniel, Baby John, Nickolas, Connor, Cameron, William, Lyssa, Stephanie, Launa, Krista, and Markie; 60 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Rose, Amanda, Maureen, Glenna, Carole, LeAnne, Goldie, Kathy, Goerell, Robi, Lori, Kara, Lauren, and Debi; nephews David, Mike, Gerred, Vern, Robert, Myron, Hoss, Robert Garcia Jr., Trent, and Charles She is also survived by many extended relatives in Canada; Melvine and the rest of the family in White Cap Reserve, Standing Buffalo Reserve, and Wood Mountain Reserve; all the Red Eagle, Blount, Belgard, Adams, Four Bears, and BuckElk families; and many more extended grandchildren. Ray and Reba used to hunt deer with us; they taught me to pray over over our relatives who gave their life so the People might live… GOOD PEOPLE, the BEST of us. No doubt in MY mind that our Relatives were there to greet them and make them WELCOME…

I was always glad to run into Reba somewhere on the Rez. She called me cousin and we would share our dreams and interpret them for each other. She had a lot of traditional knowledge and always shared. RIP cousin. My condolences to her family.
