Robert Stephen Garfield was born February 13, 1987, to Harold Paul Garfield and Kathleen Aylene Ozborne, in Wolf Point Montana. He was an enrolled tribal member of Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux tribes. Robert grew up in Wolf Point where he also attended school to grade 11. His grandmother, Violet Hamilton, raised him until she passed away December 8, 2001. She was the core of Robertβs apple and as her diabetes progressed, he took care of her. As a child, Robert loved spending time with his cousins. But his greatest love was his father, Harold Garfield. Spending time with his father fishing, working on cars, or hunting, were moments Robert lived for. He took after his Dad and loved working on vehicles. Relative, friend, or stranger, if your war pony broke down, Rob would offer help. Robert loved the outdoors, especially fishing, which he would later share those moments with his son, Taven. He loved going to a good powwow, seeing old friends, and an Indian taco or two. His favorite pastime was with his family, joking and laughing.
Robert was survived by his sons, Taven True and Robert Jr., daughter, Angelina, Father Harold Garfield Sr. (Betty), mother Kathlyn Ozborne, sisters Farrah, Heaven Onstad, Arianna Garfield, Madison Garfield, Jatonna Garfield, and Jaqueline Garfield, Uncles Jonathan Garfield, Johnny Laverdure, and Alwin Dubois, Aunts Janell (Robert) Hopkins, Lena Siljenberg, Cynthia Michealsen, and Paula Garfield, many cousins, nieces, and nephews too many to mention.
Robert was preceded by his Great Grandparents Angel Armstrong Hamilton and Harvey Hamilton of Chicken Hill, Grandmother Violet Hamilton, Grandfather Rafie Garfield, brother Harold Garfield Jr., Aunts, Susan Garfield and Angel Garfield, cousin, Mason Garfield, nephew Jeter Lilley.
Robert Stephen Garfield, aka, Rob Jeezy, will be mourned and missed by many.

I have millions of little, beautiful stories I could tell about you. But the best story I know is that, while you were growing up, I had the honor of being a part of it. I remember, when you were just a little boy we would sit in the back of mom’s house and watch the sunset. I loved that about you. That you could see the magic and beauty of it all. You knew it was a piece of artwork that would never be painted the same way again. Each day, you and me stepped into Gods art gallery and watched the creation of a new painting. I remember how young you were when mom’s diabetes progressed, how you would give her insulin shots and how protective you always were with her. So young but so, so very caring. I know in those moments you painted mom with so much love, I could see it in her eyes, on her face. Your laughter. I will always remember your laughter and I can still hear it now. I remember when you were a little boy, your laughter would dance from room to room in mom’s house, carrying me with it. That laugh could always paint a smile on my face. Oh God, I wish I could just hear it one more time. I know when you were young you would come to us for answers. Now, all of us, all the lives you have touched, painted beautiful with your presence, are left with a lifetime of questions that will never get answered. Our lives are a shade darker, the colors faded from you painting yourself out of our picture. I will do whatever it takes to hold my brother, your dad up. I will remind him of the artwork he created that is you. And every sunset I watch with my daughters, I will tell them about you, show them that you exist in the colors. You will always end my days beautiful as I look to the skies for you and watch God paint a picture of you in all of my sunsets.
