Ruby Rasor~ Tatanka Ska Wiyan (White Buffalo Woman)
Ruby left us on March 15, 2014 and will be greatly missed by all left behind. She was born on December 23, 1927 to Louise and Lewis Gregg in Frazer, Montana. She attended high school in Frazer where she met and married Pete Matthews also of Frazer. After separating from Pete Matthews, she moved to Oregon where she met and married Jean F. Rasor, Sr. She had eight children: Mike (Moon) Matthews of Wolf Point, Jean (Nancy) Rasor, Jr. of Sweet Home, Oregon, Kerri (Ron) Flitcroft of Coos Bay, Oregon, Kathleen Goodman of Coos Bay, Oregon, Kevin Rasor of Coos Bay, Oregon, Gregg (Lynda) Rasor of Austin, Texas, Melody Rasor of Coos Bay, Oregon, and Candy Nesbitt of Coos Bay, Oregon.
She loved writing poetry, doing crosswords, and reading anything that enhanced her knowledge. She spent so many of her hours in this world playing Texas Hold ‘Em’, bingo, and keno, that everyone that knew her knows that Heaven has a card room where she’ll spend the rest of her time. She was blessed with a very large and loving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Lewis Gregg, sisters Norma Headdress and Vera Garske, her only brother Clark L. Gregg, and special friend Senator Mike Mansfield. She is survived by her sisters Annavieve Cockrell of Great Falls and Vivian Pankowski of Big Lake, Alaska; children Mike, Jean, Kerri, Kathleen, Kevin, Gregg, Melody, and Candy; 23 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, too many to mention, but loved as much as any.

Color Coded World
In this world of strife and woe
where emotions run wild and high,
color is the subject wherever you go
getting worse as time goes by.
It affects people the world over
turning explosive with danger,
as people start to hate one another
and peace gives way to anger.
Why does it really matter so much
whether you are black, white, red or brown,
it can’t be changed by a finger touch
so don’t let color get you down.
Here in the midst of it all I stand
being not just one but all,
only a person as God planned
a mixture of colors and standing tall.
I will always be as time goes by
not one or the other, only me,
forever myself til the day I die
like a bird in the sky flying free.

Mama, I already knew how very much you were loved by your family, but after this evenings service, I actually have seen how much you were loved by so very much more than just your children and grandchildren. And this was just the viewing. Mama, it was so beautiful, you were beautiful! You would have loved it! If this service was any indication to the funeral service itself, you will rejoicing not only the fact that you are in your Heavenly Home, but that you got such a loving send off from so many that loved you. I love you and miss you terribly. Always in my heart you will be.

I love you grandma, I wish I could have spent more time with you. I remember being little and staring at stars in the front yard with you, and how much you loved Star Trek and dragons. I’m thankful to have had an influence like yours in my life. You were always wise, always loving. Thank you for paving a path of love for your family to follow.
MELODY RASOR says
Oh mom how I miss you. I am not sure why today of all days. Maybe because I don’t like Valentine’s Day and you understood and would always cheer me up. I talk to you and dad every single day and know that you guys are with me in spirit. I love and miss you.
Kerri Flitcroft says
Mama, today you are joined in paradise by Kathleen Ann. I am sure there will be rejoicing knowing she has gained her wings and no longer suffers. Until we meet again, rest in peace!
Kerri Louise Flitcroft says
Mama, you have been gone 9 years now. Seems like yesterday. Thinking about you and all the nights we sat out watching “movers” as you would call them. Wondering what ever happened to your lawn swing you used to watch them from. I will bet you have absolutely beautiful stars and aurora borealis in Heaven. Can’t wait to see them myself and to be with you, daddy, Mike, Jean and Kathy. I miss you guys so much.
