Our special girl, Sherry Lynn McClammy was born on April 17, 1986 to Jackie Stormy and Robert McClammy. Sherry was also raised by a special step-father John Spotted Bird. Sherry died as a result of a car accident on June 19th, 2014.
Sherry was quite a character, well known for her “tell it like it is” philosophy and the not well received “advice” she loved to give. She figured, what the heck, been there, done that, should make me a good counselor. Sherry worked at the FPCC Daycare and was one of the best bartenders around, just like her grandfather, George. Sherry’s favorite saying was “what is that!” Sherry attended school in Chemawa Indian School in Salem, Oregon, and attended Brockton and Poplar Schools where she was both an Indian fan and a Warrior fan. Sherry adored her children and they will miss her love and affection, but will know she is with God now and will be with them daily. Sherry had a short life but made a huge impact on those around her. Her friends were very special to her. Sherry made the decision to be an organ donor. We are so proud of her unselfish act. She will be missed by all.
Sherry was preceded in death by her grandfather, George McClammy, grandfather, Ray Wolf, grandmother, Adelle Reddoor, grandfather, Clarence “Sarge” Stormy, Uncles, Rodney (Hot Rod) Stormy, John Stormy, Russell Stormy, James Stormy, Richard Stormy, and aunt, Ann Catherine McClammy.
Sherry is survived by her parents Robert McClammy and Jackie & John Spotted Bird and children, Preston Whiteman, Quentin Eder, Kaison McClammy and Jett Ryan Azure, and brothers, Mark (Mandi) McClammy, Michael (Ronetta) McClammy, Royce Spotted Bird, Dwain Spotted Bird, Tristen McClammy, all of Poplar and Rodney Drum of Brockton, and sisters, Kristen (Leland) Kohl Big Leggins, Janis, Jonna, Jackie and Catherine Spotted Bird, Mariah McClammy, and niece she took as her sister, Kiarajae, all of Poplar, aunts & uncle Richard Stormy, uncle Delilah and Tom Alfrey, Linda and Tiny Parslow, Billie Jo Gilham and aunts Faith (Dun) O’Connor, Haven (Frank) Gourneau, Velvet (Bo Reed) Schnieder, Delrae Reddoor, Gaynell McClammy, Jonny Stiffarm, Dulcie Rae Wolf, Iva Grey Wolf, Phyllis Wolf, Mary Irene Wolf and uncles George (Nadine) McClammy, Willis (Paula) McClammy, Patrick McClammy, and Reese (Leilani) Reddoor. She is also survived by grandmothers, Lorraine Stormy, Dulcie Wolf, Nellie Silk and Maryann Grey Bull.
Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, June 27th, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar, with funeral services to be held on Saturday, June 28th, 2014 at the OLOL Catholic Church in Poplar. Interment will be at St. Ann’s cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.

My Girl, you left us too soon;( What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more laugh, one more smile, one more hug. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye but your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. We will never forget all the times we had together. It’s going to be hard to not be able to hear your voice or see your smile when we come home for visits. When we hear a song or see a picture of you we know you are near. The greatest compliment to my girl now from us is to live on by keeping your memory alive and we know you are watching over all of your handsom son’s, famliy and friends. It’s always so difficult to know “what to say” to family or frineds that have lost their loved one. It’s difficult yesterday to see beyond the sorrow today but by looking back through the memories of you will comfort all of us tomorrow. To all of my girl “Sherry McClammy’s Family and Friends” hold onto your memories you had of her, with her, about her and let them guide you all during this time of sadness. May all the love she had for each of you help you through the days ahead. We will always love and never forget our girl…..R.I.P. Sherry McClammy………….The Harris Family

My condolences to all Sherry’s loved ones. It was never the Creator’s purpose for us to suffer, and the wonderful promise at Rev. 21:4 has brought me comfort in difficult times, especially when I lost my mother. I hope it brings some comfort to you also.
