I was saddened to hear about the loss of Toby. He had a big smile and a bigger heart; I remember a time when a group of us had gone out hunting and had a break-down of the truck. We thought we were stuck for the night out in the middle of nowhere; as luck would have it, we had local cell service and Toby answered the phone. He knew where we were and hauled a trailer out to retrieve us all. I will never forget him skidding to a stop on that dirt road with the window down with a big wave and hollered to us, “Hey!! You guys need a ride?!” There were 6 of us packed in that truck on the way home; despite the bad luck we had, the truth is Toby was a friend to all, who would do anything for anyone, anytime. We have an angel with a big heart to watch over us now. RIP Toby you will be truly missed.
Jodi Hess-Schlup Sister of Toby says
On behalf of the Hess family I would like to thank all of you for being such good friends with Toby and becoming his extended Montana family. It does our hearts good to know he had made a place for himself there and was so loved. Reading your comments is consoling for us. We will miss him everyday. Even in the midst of sorrow, our hearts will rejoice in the glorious hope of Heaven and the reunion Toby will have with his family that have preceded him in this journey to Everlasting Peace.
